Karuna International has been an integral part of SBSM over the years and has continuously organized events, rallies, workshops, webinars and competitions for the welfare and development of the students. Even during the pandemic, the spirit of learning continued to shine, as our students greatly benefitted from the online activities of Karuna Club amidst the lockdown.

1. To inculcate the spirit of Ahimsa and compassion in the young minds of SBSM students, Karuna International organized a rally around the school premises, by the students of primary and middle school, with the motto of spreading awareness and explaining the necessity of non-violence by means of slogans and placards.
2. During the pandemic, the Stories of Compassion competition was held online for the students of Classes 4-12 in December 2020. More than 150 students participated and won many prizes such as informative and motivational books.
3. The students of class 3 also showed great spirit of social awareness, as they took part in a rally inside school premises, to explain about the Swachh Bharat Mission and the importance of keeping our surroundings clean. On this day, many students gave inspiring speeches & plant saplings were also distributed to the management members.
4. On 24th July 2021, Karuna Club organized an online webinar on How to become an extraordinary student through human values for the students of Classes 9 & 10. The webinar was handled by Smt Indumathy Ma’am in the presence of eminent dignitaries like Karuna Club Educational Officer Sri Rama Murugesh Sir and the Chief Guest Sri Sajjan Raj Surana sir. Smt. Indumathy ma’am spoke on many useful habits and practices for students to excel in their academics, such as the benefits of waking up early and scheduling the study-plan for the day early in the morning, perils of procrastination, etc. The students enjoyed the webinar and learnt a lot from this amazing session.
5. To commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the students of Classes 5 & 6 went on a rally to talk about Gandhian Principles and Morals for the benefit of the individual and the society. The event was honoured by the presence of chief guest Sri. Manoharlal Dhiran, the Treasurer of Karuna International.

Karuna International continues to organize many such events both online and offline, for the welfare of our SBSM students.
