RIDS IN HOUSE ACTIVITY 2024-25
WATER WARRIORS (CLASSES 9 & 10)
The RIDS activity on “Water Warriors ” was successfully conducted on 16th November 2024 at Shri B S Mootha Girls Senior Secondary School. The event focused on the critical issue of clean water and sanitation, with a special emphasis on countries like Nigeria, Congo, Ethiopia, India, and Nepal.
The event was inaugurated by esteemed members of the management, Principal- in -charge, parents, teachers, and the students of Classes IX and X. The inauguration ceremony set the tone for the rest of the event, emphasizing the importance of clean water and sanitation as a fundamental human right.
A range of engaging activities were conducted to deepen students’ understanding and awareness. The Water Dance was a mesmerizing performance that highlighted the significance of water in our lives. The Short Film Making activity allowed students to create films showcasing the struggles of people in countries with limited access to clean water and sanitation.
In the Water Filter Working Model Demo, students demonstrated innovative water filter models designed to provide clean drinking water in areas with limited resources. The Essay Writing Competition encouraged students to express their thoughts and ideas on the importance of clean water and sanitation. Additionally, students delivered impassioned speeches in Hindi, emphasizing the urgent need for clean water and sanitation in India and other countries.
The students participated enthusiastically in all the activities, showcasing their creativity, talent, and commitment to the cause. The event was a resounding success, receiving overwhelming appreciation from parents, teachers, and students. Parents praised the students’ enthusiasm and creativity, acknowledging the school’s efforts in organizing such a meaningful and informative initiative.
The RIDS activity successfully achieved its objective of raising awareness about the importance of clean water and sanitation. Students gained valuable insights into the challenges faced by people in countries with limited access to clean water and sanitation, fostering a deeper appreciation for this essential human right.
