International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and a passionin Shri B.S. Mootha Girls Senior Secondary School on 21st and 22nd of June. This session was held in our Tharamani Bhandari Auditorium for the students of standard III – X.
The program commenced with an optimistic note rendering the prayer song. The day was graced by the presence of our honourable chief guest Shri. SugalChand Jain. He was welcomed by our respected Secretary Mr. Vijay Kothari, Correspondent Mr. Kishan Srishrimal Jain, President Mr. Prakash Sacheti and Managing trustee Mr. Dharmichand Singhvi our Principal Mrs. Swarnalatha Gopalakrishnan, the members of Management by awarding a shawl, bouquet and a memento as a token of love. The welcome speech was delivered by the venerable Chief Guest, Mr. SugalChand Jain emphasizing the importance of regular practice of Yoga in life in his address to the gathering.
Rhythmic yoga was performed by a few students of class IX and X std on stage for inauguration, followed by the students of class VI- VIII several asanas were performed by the students of all classes. Warm-up exercises, Neuromuscular breathing exercises, sitting and standing asanas, laying down asanas and flow asanas were performed. Asanas help in improving concentration and in attaining inner peace. It helps a person to polish and progress life physically, mentally and spiritually. The students were encouraged to practice yoga regularly to remain fit. The session concluded with a vote of thanks.
