Independence Day Celebrations – 2024-25

Shri B.S. Mootha Girls Senior Secondary School celebrated the 78th Independence Day on August 15, 2024, with a vibrant display of patriotism. The campus was adorned with tricolor decorations, setting the stage for a day filled with inspiring activities. The event commenced with a solemn invocation, establishing a reverent atmosphere for the day’s proceedings.A notable highlight was the esteemed presence of Smt. Uma Anandan, GCC Councillor, Ward 134, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Accompanied by the melodious tunes of the school band, her presence added prestige to the event.

The event’s grandeur was further elevated by the presence of Chairman Mr. Harish Metha, Managing Trustee Mr. Paras Singh Munoth, Secretary Mr. Nirmal Nahar, Correspondent Mr. Rajkumar Jain, along with other esteemed members of the management, Principal Mrs. Swarnalatha Gopalakrishnan, and Vice Principal Mrs. Deivanai.

The Principal extended a warm welcome and introduced the Chief Guest to the audience. With utmost reverence, the Chief Guest unfurled the National Flag, a poignant symbol of India’s hard-earned freedom, as the entire school community paid their respects with immense pride.

The students’ melodious rendition of the Flag Song resonated across the campus, celebrating India’s unity in diversity. The students further showcased India’s linguistic richness through speeches delivered in English, Hindi, and Tamil. The cultural essence of India was vividly depicted through captivating musical and dance performances, bringing the school campus to life.

In her address, the Chief Guest spoke about the importance of women’s empowerment and the contributions of unsung freedom fighters. The day reached its exhilarating climax with a vote of thanks and a collective rendition of the National Anthem.
