ANGLOMANIA 2025 – 2026

Anglomania 2025, the annual literary celebration of Shri B S Mootha Girls Senior Secondary School, was held with grandeur on April 23, 2025, commemorating International English Language Day and honouring the literary legacy of William Shakespeare.

The day began with a heartfelt prayer, followed by an inspiring introduction that reflected on the beauty and power of the English language.

The occasion was graced by our esteemed Chief Guest, Shri Mahendra Kumar Mohta, an accomplished entrepreneur and committed social leader. He was warmly welcomed and honoured by our distinguished dignitaries: Secretary Shri Nirmal Nahar, Correspondent Shri Rajkumar Jain, and our visionary Principal Mrs. S. Deivanai, whose “Let’s Speak Better English” initiative continues to empower students with confidence and clarity.

The event featured a Prize Distribution Ceremony, where 365 students were felicitated from among 2650 participants — a testament to their hard work, dedication, and pursuit of excellence.

A vibrant Cultural Fest followed, showcasing the creative talents of students across all grades. Highlights included a touching speech and dance by our Kindergarteners, storytelling by Grades 1 and 2, an original poem recital by a Grade 6 student and a powerful stage play, The Unexpected Guest by Grade 10— a gripping adaptation of Agatha Christie’s work.

The Chief Guest’s address was both motivational and memorable, leaving a lasting impact on the audience. The celebration concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all who made the event a resounding success.
