Principal's Message

Ms. Swarnalatha Gopalakrishnan

M.Sc Psychology – Clinical, Post Graduate Diploma in Guidance & Counselling (PGDGC), B.Sc Physics B.Ed.

Welcome to Shri B S Mootha Girls Senior Secondary School – the home away from home, where our children feel safe, secure and cherished. It is an honour and a privilege to be part of the SBSM family. I am proud that Team SBSM has recalibrated and got back to normal after the pandemic. The impressive heights of glory at which SBSM stands today bears testimony to the fact that we are committed to excellence in all fields and will leave no stone unturned to achieve our goals.

The mutually complimentary relationship between school and parents is of utmost importance to us. The parents, teachers and students form a team and students achievement increase when parents are actively involved. At SBSM, we have had the utmost cooperation from the parents all these years and we value this team work. We look forward to the unstinting support of the parents in the years to follow.  I would like the parents to know that my door is always open to discuss any concerns, queries and ideas that you may have.

The very competent teaching staff of SBSM is enthusiastic, professional and possess expertise in various individual fields. Our teachers work tirelessly to create a nurturing environment for our students, conducive to learning. In the happy balanced and challenging environment, our students have the opportunity to reach their potential in academic, cultural, sporting and other co scholastic activities. Team SBSM has, yet again, produced excellent results in the CBSE Board examinations this year.

The management team at SBSM, works tirelessly to give the best to our children be it state of the art Robotics Lab, fully air-conditioned auditorium, an ever-growing library, solar panels for uninterrupted power supply, WiFi enabled campus, smart classrooms, newer models of furniture, computers, smartboards, panels and accessories … the list goes on.

At SBSM we place a lot of importance to social service which benefit the society and our children, who learn the value of giving, self-esteem and leadership qualities.  Our social service club Mujhe Apna Bana Lo, has taken off with a bang and I hope it will continue to serve our society this year too, in various ways.

I am fortunate that I also have the unique distinction of being the Principal of my Alma Mater. I did my high school in SBSM. It feels like I have come back home. When I reminiscence about my past in SBSM, it gives pleasure and happiness. My Alma Mater has played a crucial role in developing my personality and I have quite a lot of stunning and amazing memories to look back to. It has given me a good educational foundation, I have friends for life and now I feel grateful that I have been given a chance to offer value back, guide and inspire the next generation.

I would like to reiterate my personal appreciation for all the support that I have received from all the stakeholders. I am sure that with the help of all we will take SBSM to an even higher level of excellence this year.

Best wishes to all for a fun and productive school year!

Principal
