Ideation
Vigyan Vichakshan Jain Balamandir was inaugurated in the year 1970 with classes LKG & UKG in a rented building in Vaithyarama Iyer Street, Shri Kewal Chand Kathod gave first donation for the school.
Inception
Samaj purchased a building in Pondy Bazaar and School was inaugurated on 10 June 1977 by the eminent educationist Kulpathi Sri Bala Krishna Joshi and functioned for the first year in the same premises
Growth
With donations from Shri Kewal Chand Kathod, Shri Vigyan Vichakshan Jain Bala Mandir Smt.Tumkubai Kewal Chand Primary School building was inaugurated on 25 June 1978 by Shri R. Bhawarmal Bothra
Inauguration
SBSM was inaugurated in the year 1977 with a donation of 7 grounds of land in Brindavan Street, West Mamblam to start Girls School where Alandur Mootha Brothers Shr Madanraj, Shri Ugamraj & Shri Mahaveer Chand Mootha were the benefactors
Motto
The prime motto of Shri Rajasthani Jain Samaj is to impart world class education to the girl children in a safe environment
CBSE Education
At a time, when parents were reluctant to spare money for their girls’ education, SBSM came to the aid by offering CBSE standard of education at an affordable cost
Breaking Barriers
The location of SBSM, was dominant with many Orthodox Communities who focused only on managing their family business and profession, giving education was considered, restricted and reserved only for their boys
Empowering Women Education
The founders could foresee the need to bring the girls out of the clutches of the man-made traditional barriers. Hence they started a school exclusively for girls so that parents don’t mind sending their girls to a school
Society Acceptance
This noble intention soon fetched laurels to the school and soon every parent in the locality wanted their girls to be educated in the ethic – oriented, confidence building, character defining SBSM
Creating a Legacy
It is not an overstatement when it is told a few of our teachers have taught mothers, their daughters as well as grand daughters in their 35 years of career. This trust, faith and confidence is the greatest asset of SBSM
