48th Annual Day 2024-25
Shri B.S. Mootha Girls Senior Secondary School
celebrated its 48th Annual Day on October 26, 2024, at Kamarajar Arangam,
Chennai, with vibrant enthusiasm. The Honourable Chief Guest, Shri C.
Likmichand Singhvi, and distinguished Guest of Honour, Mrs. Meena Dadha graced
the occasion, accompanied by esteemed dignitaries, including Chairman Shri
Harish L Metha, Managing Trustee Shri Paras Singh Munoth, Vice President Shri
Madanlal Gundecha, Secretary Shri Nirmal Nahar, Correspondent Shri Rajkumar
Jain, Shri Dharmichand Singhvi, members of the Management Committee, Principal
Mrs. Swarnalatha Gopalakrishnan, Vice Principal Mrs. Deivanai, Academic Advisor
Mrs. Indra Rangan, and the dedicated school faculty.
The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting
of the lamp by the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour, symbolizing a bright
beginning. The dignitaries were warmly honored with exquisite garlands, vibrant
bouquets, and cherished mementos. Principal Mrs. Swarnalatha Gopalakrishnan
presented the Annual School Report, highlighting significant achievements,
followed by a welcome address from Secretary Shri Nirmal Nahar, who shared the
school’s progressive vision.
The Prize Distribution Ceremony celebrated the
accomplishments of outstanding students from Classes X and XII, with special
recognition for high-achieving subject toppers and honours for teachers who
guided students to achieve 100% results.The Chief Guest emphasized the
importance of education in building self-confidence and creating positivity in
our lives and others, while the Guest of Honour encouraged the students with
inspiring words.
The highlight of the day was the Cultural Fiesta,
“Colours of India,” showcasing an impressive array of vibrant performances. The
program opened with a soulful invocation dance, offering graceful thanksgiving
to the deities, followed by an energetic folk dance by tiny tots and a
melodious musical tribute to India’s rivers. An engaging English skit inspired
by R.K. Narayan’s Guide brought literary charm to the stage, while a colorful
portrayal of India’s festivals enriched the spirit of unity in diversity. A
humorous and thought-provoking Tamil-Hindi skit added further depth to the
theme.
The programme also featured a dynamic North
Indian folk dance, graceful classical performances, and a captivating mime on
parenting . The audience was mesmerized by a hypnotic UV dance and a harmonious
musical interlude with songs in various Indian languages. Additionally, an
exquisite art exhibition showcased students’ creative works, offering insight
into their artistic talents.
The extravaganza concluded with Correspondent
Shri Rajkumar Jain extending a heartfelt vote of thanks. The event ended with
the National Anthem, leaving an indelible impression of talent, unity, and
tradition on all present.
